The wealthy Treasurer of the Jepara Sailing Club

The Treasurer was able to collect first Membership Fees.

Sunday, July 13th. 2008 was another historical day for the Jepara Sailing Club.
Members present on this Sunday, took advantage of the absence of the till today undemocratic Commodore, and decided:

  1. Current Commodore shall be retired on his own request.

2: The members of the Jepara Sailing Club express their sincere feelings of gratitude to the leaving Commodore in absence, for all the things he did for the Club in the past six years, and in particular for all the things he did not !

3: A very important thing, always ignored under the curent ex-Commodore’s dictatorial regime, was to fix the amount of the monthly membershipfee for the Jepara Sailing Club members, as a result, the Treasurer never had funds available.

4: During the last Sunday’s coup of the members against the dictatorial current ex-Commodore, it was decided that the ex-Commodore shall be replaced by Rien, as a staunch supporter of collecting contributions form members.

5: The treasurer, a function occupied by Koos from the early days on, shall not be replaced, as finally members are willing to pay contributions, thanks to the power of the new Commodore.

6: The member coup decided, that the Jepara Sailing Club would be more open in accepting new paying members, this in sharp contradiction with the policies of the current ex-Commodore, who always attempted to keep the club exclusive for the three existing members only.

7: The new Commodore and the present members also decided, in order to clean up the members file, that all 6,000 current members will all be discontinued, and the Jepara Sailing Club will start with a clean, zero containing members file, and re-membering can only be done after paying the monthly contribution.

8: Right on the same moment, a completely unexpected crisis occurred, when Commodore and members realized, that they were in a meeting of members of the Jepara Sailing Club, while on that moment the Club had no members left, even the Commodore wasn’t a member anymore….

9: But the spirit and inventiveness of the availble ex-members on that moment showed a great talent for improvisation, Steven as the first one, without hesitating, pulled an amount of 150,000 Rupiahs out of his pocket, saving the Club from death, followed by the Commodore and Louis. The Treasurer was to busy collecting the funds and promissed to pay his share on the same day.
Rob and Ruben also declared willing to pay for the Club, but didn’t bring money in their wet swim suites.

The other day, Rob speeded after worktime to the Jepara Sailing Club in order to fulfil his duty instantly, and also brought the contribution of a new member Abdul
During the following days, also Fred and Edwin were generous enough to pay for their memebership fees.
The Jepara Sailing Club now has 8 paying members and one honerable member, a total of nine !

From the eight paying members a total amount of Rp. 1,200,000.00 was collected, never in history the Jepara Sailing Club had such a hughe cash amount available.
Collected money shall go in a special Jepara Sailing Club savings account, later on the members shall decide what to do with the money.

As memebers are obliged to pay the next membership fees on August 1st. 2008, expected cash funds will be at least Rp. 2,400,000.00 , which makes the Jepara Sailing Club one of the most wealthiest sailing clubs from Jepara and surroundings.
