WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES ON THE WATER……

  1. First thing to do is to start your laptop and connect to the internet !
  2. Next thing to do is to open this page and read how to get assistance from the Jepara Sailing Club for emergencies on the water.
  3. Then try to determine your position with your GPS, anvanced radar system, or, if you still can see the coast, maybe visually.
    4. Then, buy a cellular phone (if you didn't bring one).

  4. If you’re in problems on the Jawasea, somewhere between “Bangsri” and “Demak”, in certain cases the Jepara Sailing Club may consider to provide assistence, if the officers on duty are in a good mood and sober.

DO NOT CALL THESE NUMBERS OF YOU CAN’T SPEAK THE INDONESIAN LANGUAGE AS THESE PNONENUMBERS ARE NOT ATTENDED BY WESTERNS !

If you’re lucky and you’ll get a Baywatch officer online, speak clear and polite, on order not to get disconnected.(Consider that it’s your life which must be saved, not theirs !)

Give the officer in charge your best latest position and try to keep your cellular dry for further communication !

If the Baywatch officer in charge isn’t too busy with one of our housekeepsters, there’s a good change he will jump on a speedboat, trying to find you.

Take care that you’ve the neccesary ropes ready for pulling you up, or in case of serious damage, to tow you home.

So now, you and your boat are saved, but of course there’s a price ticket for these rescue actions.

1: Pulling up the boat only: Rp. 100,000.00
2: Tow you and your boat home: Rp. 200,000.00
3: Falsh alarm: Rp 100,000.00
